These photos are of the German cemetery at Bourdon. Inaugurated in 1967 it is home to 22,215 war dead from the Second World War, many from the campaign in 1940.
The sculpture which you pass on your way to the graves is entitled “Mother” and was created by Prof. Gerhard Marcks.
